Hello, My Name is

Today is National Nametag Day!  Yeah, that’s right.  I wrote about this last year as well, (oh and evidently before, so  reread this one too!).  It seem this is “Celebrate Your Name Week“, or for people in the know that’s simply called CYNW.

So, I continue to celebrate this particular part of CYNW with a another post about name tags!  I began by thinking what I might place on my name tag besides my given name, which as you know, was celebrated this past Sunday with the remembrance of Namesake day.

I thought about ‘Manwell’, or ‘The Most Interesting Man in the World”, or simply “Harry”.  But despite that I still would be me.  However, there is one name that I could place on there, that would actually take my place, and change my behavior.  Look at this

For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. Gal 3:27

So today, I wear a name tag that simply says “Hello my name is… Jesus”.

I hope I can represent him well.

El Cajero de la Felicidad

I ran across this great video yesterday about an ATM machine that give our free money.  That’s right, free! There is no need to put in your card, no need for a bank account, and  no strings attached. Well, just one string – you have to promise to share the money with others.  Awesome right!

Check it out here.  Just one thing, it is from Spain, so it’s in Spanish.  The screen essentially say – ‘Get $100 Euros without a card’. When you select Yes, it says “only if you agree to share”  and then if you hit yes again, it provides some ideas of how to do it.

Watch and stick with it to the end to see how this plays out!

Be the cashier of happiness today – give good!

We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9(NCV)

Freedom in Christ

I write about the freedom we have in Christ a lot. So much that sometimes I wonder if ‘free’ should not have been my OneWord365!  Anyway, here is an awesome little video clip.  I hope you take the time to watch it.  It tells the story of each of us.  It tells the story of the captivity we find ourselves immersed in and how we are freed!

5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.  Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

And that’s good!

Awkward

Wow, I got distracted this morning with things like water coming out of my washing machine and forgot to post, and that, well, is sort of awkward.

Speaking of awkward, here is a sort of interesting thought to consider!

Of all the awkward people in your house or job there is only one whom you can improve very much. C.S. Lewis

Keep working on yourself and watch how it actually does impact others!

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law.  Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)

Never Stop Improving

I have made a few trips to Lowe’s this week, as I have worked on my back porch, getting it ready for the winter, and taking care of the neglect of several season changes.  When I was leaving the store I glanced at my receipt and noticed two things.  First, I forgot how much the government takes from me every time I do anything, and second, Lowe’s tag line – Never Stop Improving.

I know they are talking about home improvements, but I think this fits a lot of the posts I have posted lately – keep going, and keep getting better – transforming yourself everyday.

Never Stop Improving

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 New International Version (NIV)
