I’ve documented many times (here, here, here oh and here) that my most favorite verse in the Bible is Matthew 27:51
At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split
or maybe Mark 15:38
The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
I’ll take either. It’s the event that I love. The moment that the new covenant was established.
I think that’s why I was so interested when I was re-introduced to 2 Corinthians 3. I have read these words so many times about Moses’ veil and how the new covenant has so much more glory. But the part that stood out to me the weekend was verse 16
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
When we turn to the Lord, He is there. There’s no veil hiding a fading glory, but the glory of the Creator, which makes us righteous through a process where we are ‘transformed into the same image’, full of glory.
For if there was glory in the ministry of condemnation, the ministry of righteousness must far exceed it in glory
I am so thankful for the ministry of righteousness and the life that the Holy Spirit provides.
