As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.

A Time to Dance
Ecclesiastes 3:4 says there is ‘A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;’. And boy, today is a time to dance!
It’s National Chicken Dance Day!!!
(learn it here, with a little bit of Polka!)
Well, I don’t know what else to do with that, but dance!
11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, Psalm 30:11 (NIV)
Who are you hanging with?
Speaking of eating and drinking, I was thinking about this verse all day yesterday after creating the title of yesterday’s post. How about this guy. This Jesus hanging with these types?
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is proved right by her deeds.” Matthew 11:18-19
Maybe we as followers should give a look to who we are spending our time with. Be a friend that brings glory back to Him.
Eating and Drinking
It’s a new week and a crazy one at that. Yesterday, besides being Mothers Day was also ‘Eat What You Want Day’ and ‘Hostess Cupcake Day’. Today is ‘National Nutty Fudge Day’. Later this week it is ‘National Chocolate Chip Day’ and then the week ends with ‘National Pizza Party Day’ and ‘National Sea Monkey Day’! (Aren’t those edible?)
Hungry yet?
Who comes up with stuff?
Well, anyway, here is a related wisdom about something that is important to consider ‘eating’.
When your words came, I ate them;
they were my joy and my heart’s delight,
for I bear your name,
Lord God Almighty.Jeremiah 15:16 (NIV)
Spend some time this week living out Jeremiah and filling up on the words of our Creator.
Good Gifts!
18 years ago today my life was totally different. 18 years ago tomorrow I put on a new title, and started a new role – Father. It has been quite a learning experience along the way, as I have learned about myself, my son and my relationships with both my father and the Father. This week I have been secretly working on a set of good gifts to give to ‘the boy’ as he turns 18, and that makes me think about this promise that we all get to enjoy.
“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:11)
By the way, it’s the 129th day of the year. Keep counting and keep spending each one well!
