Merry Christmas

Let’s go to Bethlehem, and when we get back, let’s tell the world!

Luke 2:15-18 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.

A Message From Linus

How about a little wisdom from Linus on this joyous Christmas Eve.

That’s what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown!  Let us keep this sign close to our hearts all year long.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you
Luke 2:10-12 KJV

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Adam

Today is the day some funny people on the twitters are referring to as Christmas Adam, since it comes before Christmas Eve.

Nice!

But hey, since we are talking about Adam , we should probably remind ourselves of that little curse that was placed on him, and the way out of the curse that was born on Christmas Day!

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! (Romans 5:15 NIV)

Joy to the world!

Peace on Earth

This is the last working day of the year for me.  That’s a nice blessing to have.  I am not sure if the Daily Buffet will continue through the next week, or if it will pick up with the New Year.  Either way, make sure you are focused on the blessings all around you this time of year, and find some time to reflect on the fact that the Christ was born and brings a chance of redemption for all.

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14 (KJV)

Once Were

Well, I wondered when the Duck Dynasty would enter the controversy phase. And boom it happens on the most polarizing issue of our time. I know this whole debate may strike deep emotion in you. What’s right, what’s wrong, who’s ok, who’s not, and then the whole freedom of speech thing!

So here’s there thoughts I have for followers of the Christ.

1. Stand with Christ alone
2. Expect that the message of Christ will create controversy
3. Remember what you once where and what you have been given
4. Give that same way in everything you do, speech, thoughts, time, etc.

And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11 NIV)

Oh and it might be good to reread 1Corinthians 6 and understand why our bodies are not our own.
