Caesars?

Well, it’s Tax Day and what else can I say but admonish you as Jesus admonished people dealing with taxes in his day:

Then He said to them, “Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s; and to God the things that are God’s.” Matthew 22:21 NASB

Make sure you pay what is due in both accounts today!

pressed down

Sometimes when I sit around and think about stuff I try to remember verses and ideas that I have not thought about for a while and see how I am doing with that principle.  This morning I was reminded on this, which I think it’s always a good thought to have on your mind as you head to work.

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38 ESV

Make those around you better today and see what happens with yourself.

Back At It

For the last month or so I have struggled to find the time or the deep thoughts to share, so I have not posted very much.  It was my feeling that to post my thoughts would have become redundant and a quite boring.   Today marks a big change for me and with this change I hope to be back at this keyboard a little more often.
So today, on this Spring Monday I remind you to remember why you are working as you heading off for the work day.  Here are some words straight from the Christ:

27 “Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” John 6:27-29New International Version (NIV)

Easter Monday

Alright, It’s Easter Monday again! ( past thoughts here and here)

What a day for celebration and recalibration!  Keep the message going!

33 With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon them all.  Acts 4:33

The Curtain Is Torn

I just saw this image on Twitter and had to share.  This is my favorite verse in the Bible.  It symbolizes so much about the freedom we have as believers and followers of the Christ!

How awesome is that!

38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. Mark 15:38
