Reset?

Last night the boys and I went to see “Edge of Tomorrow”.  I had previously sworn off Tom Cruise movies, so I was quite surprised when his face showed up in the first minute. Argh.  I really had no idea what I was about to see.  So, without spoiling this movie, it’s basically Groundhog Day with guns.  Not bad, but I wish I hadn’t broken my Tom Cruise avoidance vow! 🙂

Despite that, it did make me wonder if there was a day in my life that I wish I could have lived over and over until I got it right.  It’s an interesting and thought-provoking question, which at this point has no answer for me.  Maybe I will get to live today over and over until I have an answer?

How about you?  Is there a day in your life that you wish you could redo and redo until you reach the proper conclusion?

In the real world, we have no time controlling aliens to reset time. It just marches forward.   So as we say every Friday, take a marble out and spend it wisely this weekend.  You really only get one shoot at June 21 and 22 2014.  No redos or resets.  Get to work!

13 Relent, Lord! How long will it be?
    Have compassion on your servants.
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,
    that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,
    for as many years as we have seen trouble.
16 May your deeds be shown to your servants,
    your splendor to their children.

17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
    establish the work of our hands for us—
    yes, establish the work of our hands. Ps 90 NIV
