Whose concern?

This is a fascinating quote from the Savior as he speaks with the leader of his team, Peter.

But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” (Mark 8:33 NIV)

And what is amazing is those words are still a guidepost we can use today. Whose concerns are we filling our day with, our concerns or His concerns? What is driving us, what is guiding our decisions, where are we focused?

Whose concern is your concern?

Do For One

As you are rambling around today doing things and doing unto others, here is a little thought that should help you with those interactions. This little principle should help us break down the enormity of the things that are there to be done.

Do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.

Focus on one and let the glory of God been shown.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:9, 10 NIV)

Then as you move along along you can start to increase the number of ones.

Stands Forever

So many oddities today Kentucky lost a basketball game, a crazy light is shining on the surface of Mars and XP died.

This much uncertainty in the force has even delayed my ability to throw out a post today. Luckily we have promises like this to ground us:

11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever,

The plans of His heart from generation to generation.

Psalm 33:11 (NASB)
