Snow Miser

Well that Polar Vertex was/is something else.  Unfortunately, I traveled to the south-west and missed most of the major impacts.  That being sad, I was not lying on a warm beach feeling the heat from the sun!

The really neat thing about extremes like this is that the magnificence of God is on display.  I hope that during this time of lower than normal temperatures you took a moment to look at the way ice formed on your window,  the way the grass bent as it attempted to find a place of warmth, and the way the sky was so unbelievable crystal clear.  I hope that you noticed other new and wonderful things.  Wonderful things designed and made by your Creator.  Yes, it’s dangerous as well – another indication of the attributes of the Creator.

So, find a nice blanket and protect yourself, but also take time to recount and to look at this world,  HIS world. Then, let us be humbled and be thankful we have such a God on our side.

He sends his command to the earth;
his word runs swiftly.
16 He spreads the snow like wool
and scatters the frost like ashes.
17 He hurls down his hail like pebbles.
Who can withstand his icy blast?
18 He sends his word and melts them;
he stirs up his breezes, and the waters flow. Ps 147:15-18 NIV
