Signs

Last Friday while I was out running some errands I stopped by a local McDonald’s.  After parking, I walked up to the door where I read a small sign that I thought was a little negative in context, but I went past not giving it much thought.  However, as I walked to the rear of the restaurant there on the wall was a sign that read “No Loitering, 30 Minute limit while consuming food”. Wow!  When I left, well within the 30 minute limit, I noticed a third sign in the pull up to the drive thru – “Have Payment Ready for Faster Processing”, or something like that.  I left thinking that however truthful the message and the need was for each sign, they were not saying “I’m Loving It”.  I think I had more of the “I’m Leaving It!” feeling.

This made me think about the signs we hang on ourselves each day as we interact with people.  What do you think your signs are saying?  Think about that and how they help or hurt your ability to impact those around you!

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. 2 Corinthians 5:20
