Blizzard of inspiration

As a follow up to yesterday’s post, here is a great story from Minnesota.

That’s pretty cool. It sort if makes me want to buy a Blizzard. However truth be told, It doesn’t take much for me to want a Blizzard, so maybe that’s not the best reaction. Seriously though, that’s great behavior. I hope it inspires you today to look for places where you can make a difference in the lives of those around you.

Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Do it!

rule of thumb

“Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them. Add up God’s Law and Prophets and this is what you get. (Matthew 7:12 MSG)

What he sends

Here’s something to consider as we head into the weekend .

Joel 2:23 Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God,for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.

Be glad.

Role Model

Here’s an interesting idea to consider as you get your week started. This is neat because it makes you think about how you view yourself and others.

Be a role model, not a critic.

Seems familiar. Like the leaders the Lord wants for his church.

The overseer then must be irreproachable, husband of one wife, sober, discreet, decorous, hospitable, apt to teach; (1 Timothy 3:2 DARBY)

Savvy?

But now ye be shipshape. Weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen!

1 Peter 2:24 “He hisself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die t’ sins ‘n live fer righteousness; “by his wounds ye ‘ave been healed.”
