Worse

I stumbled on this last week, and I found it to quite profound.  For of course, who knows yourself better than you!

If any man thinks ill of you, do not be angry with him, for you are worse than he thinks you to be – Spurgeon

Good advice for dealing with those who find exception with you.

..but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Philippians 2:3 KJV

Hard Battle

Some ideas are timeless, and yet we still have a hard time grasping them.  Check out these words attributed to Plato

“Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” – Plato

All of us are walking down the same hard row called life – rich and poor, educated and non educated, man and woman.  As you interact with others today, offer them the grace you offered you!

32 Instead, be kind and merciful, and forgive others, just as God forgave you because of Christ.  Ephesians 4:32 (CEV)

Nickel and Dime

Oh it’s Nickel and Dime day – 5/10, and I forgot to post this morning!  I had several things on my mind as soon as I jumped out of bed and then had to head off to the rest of my day.

And that stinks, because I had figured out already I would write about taking care of the small things, and how those help you get the big things done!  Some example I am!

21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’  Matthew 25:21 (NIV)

Dried Bones

Lately I have learned a lot about control and well, the lack of it.  The good thing is that there are several things that I can always control.  One of those is my attitude – same for you.  So today, regardless of the situation I find myself in, I can choose to tackle it with optimism and positivity.  Or I can choose to be a defeatist.  It’s my choice, no matter the situation.

Today, I will choose to be positive – and why not, I mean it’s good medicine!

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22 ESV

Translation

I meant to add this yesterday, but I was on the run and forget. the text in the video translate roughly to this

Any action can be the most gracious, if there is no self-interest.
Do the good deeds!

So, why not two days in a row – do the needful! Do the good deeds.

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:14
