I’m on a Bus

I am writing this morning on a bus with a bunch of teenagers after spending the last five days in the Big Apple. What a crazy place! So many contrasts, so many incredible sights, some incredibly beautiful and some tragically ugly. But one thing I can say that is the same from Fifth Avenue to Chinatown is that people need to be encouraged and uplifted no matter where they live and no matter what their background or lifestyle is.

New York is so extreme, so fast, so exciting! And at the same time, it’s littered with broken windows, broken lives and broken hearts. Just like your neighborhood!

Today, I will more than likely be recovering and sleeping, since we are completing this trip at 4 am, but yet somehow, I feel so energized. So ready to continue on the daily battle to transform myself and impact those around me.

I hope it impacts you with my writing and my interactions and I hope you are always looking for ways today to impact those that you meet and share one more turn of the Earth with!

. But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.(Jude 1:17-23 NIV)
