The Groundhogs will be heading to work today for their only day of Meteorological work of the year. Unfortunately, they are about as accurate in predicting what will happen as all of the sports pre-game guys! (Aren’t we glad that’s over for a while!)
So while those little guys stand up and look for shadows, let’s tackle the day without fear of our shadows and conquer it no matter what the weather throws at us. I mean, we know the Light, who controls our past, our future, and the weather! So Enjoy Candlemas day with some cookies!
Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying;

They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” They were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?” Luke 8:24-25 NASB
